CASSATT - Funeral service for Stephen Dewey “Steve” Brown, 65, will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Wateree Baptist Church with burial to follow in Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Bobby J. James, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.
Mr. Brown died Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Born in Camden, he was a son of Ruth Sharp Brown and the late Wofford Sidney Brown. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from Powers and Gregory Heating and Air Conditioning. He was an avid Clemson fan and enjoyed fishing, football, and NASCAR.
Surviving are his mother of Lake Wateree; daughters and sons-in-law, Michele and Phil Rabon of Camden, and Pam and Bobby Gregory of Camden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gerald and Diane Brown of Camden, Gene and Cathy Brown of Lake Wateree, and Mike and Patty Brown of Camden; grandchildren, Phillip Rabon, Jessica Lovett, Heather Lovett, and B.J. Gregory; and great-grandchildren, Marley Mooree.
