LAKE WATEREE - Funeral service for Sarah M. Owens, 77, will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff. Rev. Ronald Lee will officiate. The family will receive friends Tuesday 5-7 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Committal service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.. in the Chapel at Lake Wateree Memorial Cemetery
Mrs. Owens, wife of the late James H. Owens, Sr., died Saturday, November 21, 2009. Born in Johnson City, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late James and Dorothy Huff. She was a member of Chapel at Lake Wateree.
Surviving are her son, James H. “Jimmy” Owens of Lake Wateree; daughters, Clara Hood of Lake Wateree, Gail Boyte of Ridgeway, and Betsy Eddings and her husband, Sandy of Camden; sisters, Minnie Fish, Dale Cogins, and Lee Atchley, all of Johnson City, Tenn.; brother, Steve Huff of Gray, Tenn.; 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Rachel Huff; and brothers, Frank J. Huff and Donald Huff.
