REMBERT - Graveside service for Frederick William Barrowcliff, 87, will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.
Mr. Barrowcliff died Friday, December 4, 2009. Born in Troopsburg, N.Y., he was a son of the late Earl and Dorothy Spencer Barrowcliff. He served in the United States Navy during WW II, receiving four Bronze Stars. He was an avid gardener and sportsman.
Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Jean George Barrowcliff; son, Martin Barrowcliff; daughters, Anita Cruz of Florida, and Amy McClure of North Carolina; 2 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Walter Barrowcliff.
