GREENVILLE - Funeral service for Michael Jerome Yates, 33, will be held Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. New Life Baptist Church, Greenville, S.C. The family will receive friends Tuesday 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Michael died Friday, January 15, 2010. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Jerry Michael Yates and Martha Frances Powell Gravley.
Surviving are his wife, Cristy Denine Cummings Yates; children, Avery Mitchell Yates and Anna Michael Yates; father, Jerry Yates (Denise) of Lugoff; mother, Martha Gravley (Mike) of Liberty; sister, Bridgett Powers (Rodney) of Lugoff; step-brothers, Jason Dinkins and Kevin Dinkins; maternal grandmother, Mary Catherine Stephens; and many loving aunts, uncles, step-children, and cousins.
