CAMDEN-A memorial service for Charles Allison “Charlie” Warrington, 51, will be held Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. Rev. Scott Roberts will officiate. Memorials may be made In Memory of Charlie Warrington to the Foundation for National Institute of Health-Oncolgy Branch, 9650 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, Md. 20814.
Mr. Warrington died Saturday, February 13, 2010. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Charles Francis Warrington and the late Pearl Estelle Young Warrington. He was an entrepreneur and owned C. A. Warrington Inc. He was a Mason and a member of Kershaw Lodge#29 and was a Shriner and was past president of the Camden Shrine Club.
Mr. Warrington attended the First Church of the Nazerene and started the Charaketo Hunt Club. He was a man that made a lasting impression on all who knew him, always making lifelong friends.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Jan Moore Warrington; daughter, Morgan Allison Warrington of Camden; step-sons, James Greer King (Katie) of Camden, and Kenneth Wesley King (Bonnie) of Rembert; father, Charles F. Warrington (Deborah) of Columbia; brothers, Robert Warrington of Columbia, Clyde Warrington (Lisa) of Monroe, N.C., and Keith Warrington of Columbia; and grandchildren, Travis, Wesley, Taylor, and Landon. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Warrington.
